 A complete program for capturing and viewing videos, FastStone Capture is strong, portable, and feature-rich. Anything on the screen, including windows, objects, menus, the entire screen, fixed regions, rectangular regions, and web pages, may be easily recorded and marked using this tool. On-screen activities can also be captured, such as mouse clicks, camera movements, speaker and microphone sounds, screen changes, and clicks on extremely compressed video files. Screenshots can be sent by email, to your website, to Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, files, clipboards, printers, or any combination of these.

Annotation (text, underlined lines, emphasis), reduction, cropping, watermarking, applying border effects, and more are examples of editing tools. Furthermore available are functions like word capture, image tagging, automated file creation, global hotkeys, pin-to-screen, interoperability with external editors, color selection, size, rotation, and rotation loupe.

FastStone Capture can record images in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG, TGA, TIFF, WEBP, FSC, and PDF formats. MP4 and WMV video files can be recorded using the integrated video reader. It is possible to record and store all on-screen activities, such as mouse clicks, microphone speaking, and screen modifications, in highly compressed video files.
